Roundtable II: Data Centres for a Nature-Positive Future
New York
David Clode
Session Overview
The rapid expansion of AI and cloud computing is driving unprecedented demand for digital infrastructure. The challenge is no longer whether data centres will be built, but how they can be designed to create positive outcomes for people, communities and ecosystems.
This roundtable will bring together leaders from technology, infrastructure, finance, philanthropy and government to explore:
- Regenerative design and biomimicry
- Community-centred development
- Responsible supply chains and materials
- Opportunities for wider societal benefit through digital infrastructure
Outcome: Develop the foundations of an Inclusive and Regenerative Data Centre Framework, identify pilot opportunities and establish priorities for cross-sector collaboration.
Convening Partners: McGovern Foundation, C40
